About Emma Elice-Flint
Nutritionist and chef Emma Ellice-Flint is passionate about making a difference to peoples’ lives through nutrition and natural medicine. She founded her practice ‘Eatcetera Nutrition’ with the aim of giving people the knowledge they need to create healthy lives for themselves and their families.
Emma welcomes and treats people with all conditions but digestive wellness and hormone balance are topics close to her heart. So much so that she wrote two evidenced-based cookbooks – one about female hormone balance called The Happy Hormone Cookbook, and another about gut healing called The Bone Broth Bible. She brings together years of clinical experience, evidence-based nutritional advice, a wealth of knowledge about food and the excitement that goes with that understanding.
Emma originally trained in hospitality at Ealing College, part of the University of West London. In London she cooked on myriad events, small and large, such as cooking at Buckingham Palace and at the Wimbledon Tennis Tournament.
Arriving in Sydney, Australia in the 1990s, Emma cooked for a varied audience including politicians, royalty and celebrities. Her keen interest in health saw her combine healthy, wholesome food into the style of cooking she produced, taking advantage of the beautiful and abundant produce in Australia.
In 2007 she decided to make that interest in nutrition her full time profession, hanging up the chef’s whites and undertaking full-time study, qualifying in Bachelor of Health Science (Nutrition). Emma regularly attends ongoing professional education, keeping up to date in the ever-changing field of nutrition, and apart from clinic work, runs nutrition cooking workshops across Australia and the UK.
During the last few years Emma has shared her knowledge by co-running a number of Nutrition retreats in Australia. Guests learn the value of wholefoods in their eating, the benefits to their bodies, and watch Emma prepare those dishes. The retreats have meant guests also have time away from their busy lives, share meals with like-minded people, and above all relax. What a treat!
